Last Friday night, we went with my parents and sister to their ward party which was held at a big barn/indoor horse arena type place that is just a few minutes away from us. They had about 20 different kinds of chili there and then they had doughnuts for dessert which my kids obviously loved! We went on a little wagon ride in a covered wagon and then Paris got to ride a horse with Daddy (we tried to give Savannah a turn but she didn't want anything to do with it). There was a bubble blowing contest for the adults, and no, we didn't win but we did get some pretty big bubbles going and the kids thought it was funny.

We love fall!
Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons...summer is fun, but I just love it when the weather cools down and I can start wearing sweaters and jeans! It also helps that the beginning of fall means that Bubba's crazy summer traveling schedule is over, and although he is still busy, he is home a lot more and it's great to have him home every night!
We've been able to drive up Payson Canyon and Hobble Creek Canyon and enjoy all of the colors which has been fun. Last week for playgroup, we went to a pumpkin patch and the girls had a great time! It is so fun as the kids get older and they actually get excited about the holidays...Savannah is so excited to go trick-or-treating this year and I'm sure Paris will love it too once she sees what its all about!

First Haircuts!
Last week, I decided that I needed to trim Savannah and Paris' hair since I never once have! Savannah's hair was almost to her waist and just starting to get a little scraggly at the bottom-she was so good and held perfectly still while I trimmed at least 2 inches off the bottom! I didn't trust myself to trim Paris' (she kinda had a little bit of a mullet), so I took her to a salon where she sat very still on my lap and allowed the nice lady to cut about 3 inches off...it was a little bit hard for me to watch, but it turned out so cute and looks much better!

Kassie's Homecoming
Last night was my little sister Kassie's Homecoming dance and I was somehow chosen to be the hairdresser. For not having any professional training and not much experience, I thought her hair turned out great and she looked beautiful. The girls just love Aunt Kassie and it has been so fun to have her living so close to us for the last year!
St. George Girls Weekend!
!
Last weekend I was able to go down to St. George with some friends for an all girls weekend and it was such a wonderful break. We got to play games uninterrupted, go shopping uinterrupted (and I actually got to try clothes on!), sit in the hot tub uninterrupted, talk uninterrupted, eat meals uninterrupted...well you get the idea! I did miss my kids and was happy to see them when I got home, but it was really nice to be able to do things without having to worry about supervising two toddlers at the same time! While we were down in St. George, we were able to go see Les Miserables at the Tuacahn, which is a large outdoor amphitheatre.
I have seen quite a few musicals and Les Mis is still my favorite (although Wicked comes in a close second)! It was a great weekend and Bubba had a good time with the girls too...thanks babe for being so willing to take over so I could have such a wonderful break

Oops!
The other morning, I was busy doing something in the kitchen and thought the girls were in Savannah's room playing until Savannah came running up to me and told me that Paris had made a big mess in my room. Turns out the kids were in my bathroom and Paris got a hold of my mascara. I was impressed that it didn't get anywhere but her face, and she actually got all of her eyelashes coated pretty well....of course the rest of her face and some of her hair was black also, but she had the right idea!
