Soccer

The girls told us that they wanted to play soccer....about a week after the registration for the city league had closed.  I saw a bunch of signs around Savannah's school for soccer so I called the number and we were just in time to sign up.  We showed up the next week and were somewhat amused and surprised  by the fact that out of about 100 kids that were there, ours were the only white ones!  The coaches spoke a lot of Spanish, but they were wonderful and the kids had a great time.  The group was very non-competitive and they didn't have official games, but for our beginners, that was perfect.  They got to play little games against each other and they gained a lot of skills.  Savannah was actually a little more interested in it than Paris, but they both had fun.  They decided at the end of the season that they don't want to do it again, but I think it was a good learning experience for both of them!
