Happy Birthday to my crazy little Madison! I can't imagine our family without her but she is definitely a little stinker a lot of the time and is teaching me loads of patience that I didn't realize I didn't possess! Madison is a very smart little girl and has just recently really started talking a ton. She said a lot of words before, but something recently clicked and now she speaks in sentences and it is very helpful because now we can understand what she wants better! She is still an amazing sleeper and sleeps 12-13 hours at night and still takes a 2-3 hour nap every day...and she never fights us on going to sleep...she just goes in, lays down and that's it. SO nice! I'm sure that will change at some point, but for now we are grateful. She loves to read books and doesn't like watching movies at all...I think she will watch for like 10 seconds before she is off to something else. She LOVES her mommy and is wanting to be held constantly, although it seems like she is finally starting to become a little less clingy which will be nice also. When she is in a good mood, she is quite the little comedian and loves to make little jokes and be silly. She is also the bravest of our girls by far (when compared to the other two at the same age). She will climb anything and everything, jump off anything and everything, and has absolutely no fear which is nice but also extremely scary. We never really called her anything but Madison or Mad, but if you ask her what her name is, she will tell you it's "Madi." I don't know how she came up with that since we've NEVER called her that before, but now that she calls herself that, we have all started using it sometimes too. She still doesn't have much hair, but I think it's finally starting to thicken up and grow a little bit, so hopefully this next year, it will come in! She will eat pretty much anything which is nice, but she has a very hard time sitting still while eating and tends to move chairs every 2 seconds which drives me nuts when we're trying to eat. At her 2 year check-up, she didn't even cry for her shots...she just kind of looked at the nurse with a little bit of a glare, but it didn't really seem to phase her much, which makes me laugh because she is extremely dramatic and will throw huge screaming fits over not getting the right color of cup or something, but getting several shots was nothing. She weighed in at 26.6 pounds and is 34 inches tall.
She really wanted a Winnie the Pooh cake, and this is the best we came up, considering we were moving a couple of days after her birthday! We'll get fancier next year.... :) She got a Winnie-the-Pooh stuffed animal that talks and she also got a giant Mr. Potato Head which she loves. We love this little girl so much and are happy to have her in our home!
